This update is in "delta" form to reduce its size for downloading electronically. The files in the AppMaker 1.5 folder are only those files which have changed from the 1.5 release.
To install this update:
1) If you have renamed your AppMaker 1.5 folder, rename it back to AppMaker 1.5.
2) Run Compact Pro. You can download it from most online services if you do not already have a copy.
3) Open the AppMaker 1.5.1.cpt archive. Click AppMaker 1.5 to select it, then choose Extract from the Archive menu.
4) In the standard Get File dialog, navigate to the folder which contains your original AppMaker 1.5 folder, then click Extract.
5) In response to the "╔ already exists" alert, click Replace ALL Duplicates. (If you don't get this alert, you're not in the correct folder, or your AppMaker 1.5 folder is incorrectly named.)
6) Quit Compact Pro.
7) If you use MacApp 3.0, you might rename the Libraries:MPW:MacApp 3.0B3 folder to MacApp 3.0. The contents of this folder work correctly with MacApp 3.0 final and have not changed from the B3 versions.
To update the AppMaker 1.5 application:
***WARNING*** Set the partition (Get Info) size of ResEdit to at least 600K. We found that the default size of 500K did not work properly and did not give any warning messages.
1) Run ResEdit and open your copy of AppMaker 1.5.
2) Open the Update 1.5.1 file. Select All then Copy.
3) Select the AppMaker 1.5 window, then Paste.
4) In the "Replace resources ╔" alert, click Yes.
***WARNING*** After Pasting, verify that the total size of CODE resources in AppMaker 1.5 is the same as the total size in Update 1.5.1. We found that ResEdit running in its default 500K partition, did not copy all of the CODE resources and did not display any error message.
5) Quit ResEdit and save changes.
***Reminder*** For MacApp 3.0, you must specify -TwoOhTemplateViews as an option to MABuild. If you don't use this switch, you'll get strange runtime messages.
